“If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for all of Paris is a moveable feast.” Ernest Hemingway

I first visited Paris with my parents in the 50s. I was young. I was hooked. Later in the 60s I lived outside of Paris where I attended a French High school but every chance I got I visited Paris.

In 1970, I went back to Paris to study art at the National Beaux Arts Academy for 4 years and was accepted in a post graduate art school National Arts Decoratifs Academy. During my years in Europe, I traveled and painted and honed my craft. I was a copiest in the Louvre museum, spending hours discovering the mysteries of the masters at first hand. My second passion was print making which led me to spend hours studying the prints in the National LIbrary of France's Print Cabinet - Degas note books, Rembrandt and Goya's prints...

My career path veered off into scientific and medical illustration, but that enabled me to come to Paris with my family to work for professors and editors.

My artwork of Paris and of other subjects reflects what I learned in Paris. Please enjoy it.

Both original and reproduction Prints of my Paris scenes are available for purchase.

Please contact me if you want to purchase any artwork.
